Book Festivals I'd Love to Go to Someday

I've had the good fortune to attend a lot of dream book festivals, namely the National Book Festival in DC, since I live so close, which always has an incredible lineup of headliners, even though it's gotten way more crowded in recent years! Sadly, I'm sure it will not take place this year. I'm also lucky enough to live close to the Baltimore Book Festival, which is always a fun local event with authors I love and lots of new local authors to meet and books to buy. If that weren't enough, I've also been spoiled enough to be close to the Gaithersburg Book Festival, which often draws some big names due to its proximity to the capital as well as lots of local organizations and booksellers. I lived in Boston when the first annual Boston Book Festival occurred, and I also got to attend the Chicago Humanities Festival when I lived there. I'd highly recommend all of those events and definitely want to attend them again, but I still do have some dream bookish events left!

Happy Top Ten Tuesday over at That Artsy Reader Girl!

What fun! Hopefully soon book events like these can take place again.
Here's my TTT list this week.
You must live in or near Montgomery County! I grew up there and now live in Virginia, so I have gone to the Baltimore, Gaithersburg, and National Book Festivals as well -- all were wonderful experiences!

It's sad to think how many festivals have had to cancel this year. I hope they will be able to safely take place next year, or at least by 2022.

San Diego Comic-Con made my list as well, as did the National Book Festival (again.)

You've attended so many awesome book events! I am dying to go to BEA one year - I'm hoping in the next five years after the pandemic!

I haven't been to any of the festivals you've attended, but I'd love to go to the National Book Festival. I am going to it this year, though it will be virtual.

I have been to two of the festivals on your wanna-go-to list, BookExpo and the Printers Row Festival. Loved both of them.

I attended Book Expo America one year when it was held in Los Angeles. It was intense! I have also attended the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books many times. If I could go, I would love to go to the Hay Festival in Great Britain.
Ahh, I'm finding out about so many great events/festivals that I hadn't previously! Here's to many more!
I've been to the Bay Area Book Festival every year since its inception in 2015... with the exception of this year as it was cancelled for obvious reasons. It's a worthwhile book festival to visit.
