Books On My Spring 2026 TBR

 I've got a few books to review lined up, and I'm also interested in some new releases and hoping to read something to get into the spring mood. It's been a long, dark, and cold winter and I'm reveling in the longer daylight hours. Happy Top Ten Tuesday!

Books On My Spring 2026 TBR

  1. Working the Mound by K. Iwancio--Reading this for review from the author. This is a smutty baseball romance novel with a team called the Philly Sillys, based on the Savannah Bananas but set in Philadelphia. As soon as I heard that description, I had to read it! This is the second in a series, but they're all standalone. Review coming soon!
  2. Steeped in Suspicion by Kirsten Mari--Received for review from LibraryThing. It's a cozy fantasy mystery. Enjoying the atmosphere in a small magical town replete with piskies, leprechauns, a talking cat, and a council of witches. 
  3. Stories Are Weapons: Psychological Warfare and the American Mind by Annalee Newitz--I think I'm actually in a bit of a nonfiction mood lately, and I love Annalee's podcast with Charlie Jane Anders (sadly discontinued) so maybe the book will help fill the gap.
  4. Your Silence Will Not Protect You: Essays and Poems by Audre Lorde--I enjoy a lot of Lorde's quotes so I should actually read the source material.
  5. Lady Tremaine by Rachel Hochhauser--I'm always up for a literary reimagining of a fairy tale. 
  6. Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke (Coming: April 7)--I love the premise of a tradwife influencer who actually gets sent back in time!
  7. The Radiant Dark by Alexandra Oliva (Coming: April 28)--A family corresponding with an alien intelligence--I love this concept!
  8. The Correspondent by Virginia Evans--Everyone has been talking about this one, and it sounds up my alley.
  9. The Good Good Pig by Sy Montgomery--One of my book clubs has fallen in love with Sy Montgomery's books and I am right there with them. Looking forward to this month's read.
  10. Shadows We Carry by Meryl Ain--Another book club read for next month. I've stayed away from historical fiction lately but I have a better feeling about this one.

YESTERYEAR has been popular this week! It's now on my TBR list, too. It sounds intriguing for sure.

Books with Single-Word Titles

Happy Top Ten Tuesday over at That Artsy Reader Girl! Books with Single-Word Titles These are all my favorite books that I could think of with one-word titles. A lot of fantasy, a few nonfiction (minus subtitles) and Kindred , whether you consider it scifi or historical fiction. Also two portmanteaus using the word "bitter." The Ten Most Recent Additions to My Book Collection

 Most of the books I buy these days are ebooks, or books I'm technically "renting" (I guess that's the right term?) on Kindle Unlimited. I also get a few ebooks for review, usually from LibraryThing or directly from authors. Mostly I get books from the library, but I also try to buy/preorder from my favorite authors--sometimes ebooks or sometimes an actual book if I don't have a signed copy from that author yet!
